A good part starts with a good design. But "good design" isn't just a 3D model that looks nice on screen — it's a dataset that can be machined without trouble, inspected, and assembled. That's the perspective we bring to design.
Whatever data you start with
Some customers come with detailed technical drawings, some with a sketch on paper. Some come with nothing but an idea. Whatever the starting point, the goal is the same: create a complete, clear, production-ready technical data package.
- Design from scratch: From concept stage to 3D model to technical drawing
- Existing design revision: Geometry optimization, manufacturability improvement, tolerance adjustment
- Reverse engineering: Creating models and drawings by measuring an existing part
- Prototype preparation: Preparing the data package for first production
No design without thinking about the machine
In a CAD program, everything looks possible. But how will you fixture that part? Can the tool reach that pocket? Is that tolerance really necessary, or is it just driving up cost?
Asking these questions at the design stage saves weeks during manufacturing. Machining paths, material behavior, fixturing methods, surface finishing requirements, and assembly fit — we evaluate all of these during the design process.
How we work
- Understanding the need: Part function, operating conditions, and expectations are clarified
- Modeling: The part is created or revised in 3D CAD
- DFM review: Geometry, tolerances, and material are evaluated for manufacturability
- Technical drawing: Documentation needed for manufacturing, inspection, and assembly is prepared
After these steps, the part can move to engineering review or directly to manufacturing. There's no disconnect between design and production — both happen within the same workflow.
Software & Tools
Our design team works with industry-standard CAD and CAD-CAM software to ensure full compatibility with customer data, supplier workflows, and downstream manufacturing processes.
| Software | Purpose |
|---|---|
| SolidWorks | 3D CAD modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings |
| CATIA | Advanced surface modeling and large assembly management |
| Solid Edge (Siemens) | CAD-CAM integration and production-ready data preparation |
This range of tools allows us to open, edit, and deliver in virtually any format our customers or partners work with — from native files to STEP, IGES, and PDF exports.
Which projects this is for
Whether you're developing a new product, looking to improve an existing part, or all you have is a physical sample — our design and modeling service is the starting point for that process.
